Strategic Planning and Process Team

The Strategic Planning Process Team works in partnership with UIT and University departments to help improve end-to-end business and technical processes. We take a holistic approach, working to create a safe and productive climate for discovering how processes currently work, and for designing effective, sustainable improvements that align with strategic goals.

We begin by helping our customers and partners to ask and answer essential questions, resulting in a visual model of the “as-is” process — the what, why, who, how and when of getting work done. Once the current triggers, activities, and results have been identified, we help to design the future state using structured frameworks for workflow modeling and analysis.

Every process engagement is unique, designed to meet the needs and goals of its sponsors. Some projects may result in major changes to workflow design, while others may focus more on technology needs, business requirements, or strategic planning. There are no right or wrong answers, just the best collective thinking on how to create effective improvements that will last.
