Enterprise Data Architecture

Enterprise Data Architecture (EDA) develops, communicates, and maintains the University‚Äôs conceptual data model. Its ultimate purpose is to create an environment where University leaders have the information they need to make decisions, and to make applications and processes easier to build and implement.

This is accomplished by clarifying definitions of institutional data and modeling the business of the University in terms of how its data assets are related and managed. EDA fosters a culture of data stewardship and governance, promoting the importance of data quality. EDA brings University organizations, process developers, and IT together in all of these efforts.
