Kudos & Congratulations
Thanks to the IAM Team for doing a short-notice build of a new PCI-dedicated Active Directory environment. Our ability to manage PCI scope and pass our PCI Report on Compliance would have been very difficult without the team’s outstanding work and “can do” attitude. ~ Dan Bowden
Thanks to Irvin Allen for his flexibility and time investment in improving CHCP's data-backup system while continuing to provide excellent customer services to the CHPC user community. ~ Steve Corbató
Matt Munro successfully coordinated and completed a move of several servers for the Pioneer Theatre Company’s ticket sales in order to bring the University one step closer to PCI compliance. This effort included working with UIT management for direction; NOC for VLAN allocation and firewall configuration; UCCS for staff members to assist with the move, client reconfiguration, and service testing; DDC staff for physical rack, network and space in the facility; PCI team for direction and coordination of the timing and regulatory directives; Pioneer Theatre management for server access and desktop reconfiguration efforts; and application vendor staff to reconcile the connectivity and configuration issues after the move. Matt and others could not begin this work until after 9 p.m. due to the box office needing to be open. Matt, Ken Kizer and I finished the effort at about 1:30 a.m. and were all working again first thing the following morning. In fact, Matt chose not to leave and to spend the rest of the night in the office. ~ Stacey Wood
Sam Liston deserves praise for his exemplary professionalism and dedication in his recent deployment of new storage infrastructure to support the CHPC research communities' exponential growth of research data. ~ Steve Corbató
I would like to thank Shellie Eide and Chris Pfeiffer for their work on ServiceNow — creating the structure and content for the Knowledge Base, designing the UI for the Service Catalog and developing the forms and workflow for the 30-plus services. ~ Jill Brinton
