Kaltura releases new video app for Canvas
The U’s Teaching and Learning Technologies department is being lauded as “a true pioneer” in educational technology thanks to the recent release of the new Video App for Canvas. TLT’s innovative partnership with Instructure and Kaltura, the open source video platform, led to the development of the new app that integrates Kaltura’s video tools with the Canvas learning management system, providing a seamless user experience for students and faculty using media in their classes. The new app will provide a comprehensive set of video tools, including user generated content, full mobile and device support, personal media library for both students and faculty, enhanced video analytics and more.
The University of Utah will be the first university to use the new app, which is currently
in final testing, with plans to deploy to Canvas for use in Summer 2014 classes.
More details to come in the April Node 4 newsletter.
