ITIL 4 Foundations course overview
The ITIL 4 Foundations course is designed to give learners a practical understanding
of ITIL at the Foundation level. Training is delivered in partnership with HDI, a
PeopleCert-accredited Accredited Training Organisation (ATO). This course leads to the official PeopleCert ITIL exam. The training prepares learners for the ITIL 4 Foundation exam, delivered by PeopleCert.
The course covers ITIL guiding principles, service management, the four dimensions of service management, service value system, and service management best practices through lecture, discussions, and case study exercises.
The course takes place over two days, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. A reading assignment in conjunction with the course will take about five hours for an average reader to complete.
As part of the course, a voucher for the certification exam is provided. The voucher is used to register for the exam. The certification exam will take one hour. To pass, learners must score 65% or higher (answer at least 26 of 40 questions correctly).
The course costs $637 per university employee and covers training materials and the exam. Before registering, please check with your supervisor to ensure that staff development funds are available. The cost for non-university participants is $1,695. Class size is limited to 15 or fewer students.
