Staff members rep UIT at Employee Appreciation Day

UIT staff members took a break from the office on Thursday, September 29, 2016 to attend this year’s Employee Appreciation Day (EAD) at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

A two-factor authentication information booth was staffed throughout the event by Identity and Access Management senior business analysts Jodi Kunz and Rachael Sheedy, and UIT Technical Support Analyst Chris Moore. They handed out cards announcing that eventually, all main campus employees will be required to enroll in Duo Security's 2FA service. The cards also featured QR codes that jump to a 2FA website.

University employees were treated to giveaways, exhibitors, Hooked on Books, photo booth, live music, pizza and ice cream lunch, and the rare opportunity to walk onto the football field, where many enjoyed a field goal kicking contest for prizes.

Co-sponsored by the Division of Human Resources and the U of U Staff Council (UUSC), EAD was created in 2004 to celebrate faculty and staff in a casual, fun-filled setting.
