Reed juggles a few roles at the university: enterprise operations for K-12, higher ed, and other entities across the state; day-to-day IT operations for Eccles Broadcast Center; and president for the U's IT Professionals Forum Board of Directors.

Innes, who was hired to help with the U's parking permit technology, believes employees thrive when their leaders trust them, empower them to make decisions, and provide access to the tools they need.

Garikipati says a trip to Disney World, where she bought Ed Catmull's book "Creativity, Inc.," led her to a senior UX developer job with the University of Utah. Although she's new to leadership, her philosophy centers on open communication and identifying and honing strengths.

Jacoby's new role blends her background in communication and user experience with technology and leadership, which she defines as continuous learning and shared growth.

McGee, who recently returned to the university, enjoys working closely with his team to help boost their skills, morale, and success.

The Payson native uses a people-first approach to create a work environment where his peers and staff feel trusted, respected, and motivated to innovate.

Walker, who joined DLT in July, said his team has a wealth of knowledge that can help faculty, staff, and students with the university's learning systems.

Irsik credits his core staff and the technology services they have created and supported for a successful operation that helps tens of thousands of students each year.

The Instructure and Association for College and University Educators alumna wants to ensure the U's learning systems are tools that help students learn and instructors teach — not get in the way of education.
