Thank you to Fernando Ferrer Anato from Unified Communications, the phone tech who installed my new phone. He was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, skilled, professional, and overall very positive and helpful. He clearly cares about his work and was dedicated to solving the phone problem I had. UIT is lucky to have him as an employee.

Since Dave Adams joined Common Infrastructure Services, he has been instrumental in working directly with customers to improve their experience across the organization. He has taken the knowledge from those conversations, brought it back to the teams, and has helped us in such a way that action could be taken to do better through metrics and congruous improvement! Significant progress has been made, all in the spirit of collaboration and collegiality, creating a truly team approach. Thanks, Dave!

Cody Hudson has been with the University for many years and is currently a member of the Identity and Access Management team. Cody makes it a point to identify inefficiencies, provide solutions, and see tickets and requests that come his way through to the end. He is committed to customer satisfaction and will go out of his way to make sure a ticket is resolved.

I would like to submit Kudos to Rob Yeo on the Platform Services team. The Monitoring team had a large overhaul to their monitoring environment on September 12th. During the upgrade, they ran into complications with one of their polling servers. Rob Yeo took some extra time to help troubleshoot and rebuild the system, enabling a successful upgrade. Without his time and effort we would have been forced to roll back our changes. Additionally, I would like to say thank you to Kevin Cai, Monty Kaufusi, and Lee Shuster for maintaining level heads, collaborating, and communicating when tackling the upgrade issues.

I would like to nominate Dave Sexton and Rob Birkinshaw for their tremendous work on the IAM Phase One project. Dave’s expertise has been critical in helping us identify and define the appropriate data points in PeopleSoft. Rob has worked tirelessly to provide access to this data, despite being bombarded with numerous high-priority issues. I really appreciate both Dave and Rob for their efforts.

Simply email praise for your UIT colleagues to stratcomm@it.utah.edu. The people you recognize will be put into a drawing to win gift cards, event tickets, merchandise and more. Those who submit entries will also be put in a separate drawing for more prizes. (UITL members and associate/assistant directors not eligible for prizes.)
