Chris Stucker named associate director of Identity & Access Management
UIT is pleased to announce that Chris Stucker has joined the Information Security Office as the new Program Manager, at the Associate Director level, of Identity & Access Management.
"We are extremely pleased to have Chris joining us as the IAM Program Manager," said Randy Arvay, Chief Information Security Officer. "His leadership, IT knowledge, and broad experience are exactly what the organization needs to mature the program and to support our strategic and operational efforts for identity at the university."
Arvay added, "I'd like to thank Corey Roach, Enterprise Security Manager, for his strong stewardship of the IAM team while we searched for a new associate director."
Stucker brings more than 20 years of experience in managing IT services and solutions in the public and private sectors. As Director of Information Technology for Taghleef Industries, Stucker led all aspects of IT for the global manufacturing company, including all security infrastructure and policies, the initial design and rollout of an active directory for the company, and two Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementations. In late 2015, Stucker transitioned to the University of Utah Facilities Management department as Associate Director of IT, where he has spent the past two years overseeing building security, access, controls, and video surveillance systems, managing IT services, and building and maintaining relationships with customers.
Stucker served in the United States Army for seven years and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) degree from Southern Utah University.
