Photos: USS employees compete for the great-est pumpkin carving

Bryce Saldajeno, student intern in USS Quality Assurance, digs in during a pumpkin-carving contest on October 12.
Staff members in UIT's University Support Services (USS) carved out some time to get creative during an October 12 jack-o'-lantern contest at 102 Tower, the downtown office building where many of the U's IT teams, including USS, are located.
The winners were:
- First place (two tickets to the 11/10 Utah vs. Oregon football game): Patrick Tobin, HR/Auxiliary team software design engineer, for "Grumpy Cat."
- Second place (UofU throw blanket): Dan Thornley, associate director of Quality Assurance, for "Now Hiring."
- Third place (insulated bamboo mug and coffee): Kelsey Loizos, senior user experience developer, for "The Nightmare Before Christmas."
