Photos: Marv Hawkins retirement reception
Marv Hawkins, who recently retired as associate director of Product Management for Finance Systems in USS, was honored at a reception on July 12, 2019.
Marv Hawkins received a sweet send-off at a July 12, 2019 retirement reception at 102 Tower that included an assortment of cakes from Gourmandise Bakery.
Hawkins, associate director of Product Management for Finance Systems in University Support Services, is retiring after 16 years of service to UIT and the University of Utah. He and his wife, Martee, are moving on to their next adventure in the Austin, Texas area.
"It's been a wonderful 16 years, and I enjoy seeing people here who I've known for 40 years," Hawkins said. "I leave you in good hands. Thank you for everything."
After more than two decades of similar work at Salt Lake Community College, Hawkins started in UIT as an integration analyst and product manager in Administrative Computing Services, which was reorganized as USS. He was promoted to associate director for Product Management, and in 2016, took on a new role over PeopleSoft Finance while continuing to manage auxiliary, HR/payroll, and research products.
Gary Carter, who previously served as associate director of HR/Auxiliary, is AD of the newly-formed Product Management/Finance & Auxiliary area. See this announcement of USS organizational changes for more information.
