Photos: 2019 UIT Summer Party at Clark Planetarium
For a day, about 300 UIT employees traded the office for outer space. (Kind of.)
Held June 24 at Clark Planetarium, this year's UIT Summer Party included interactive exhibits, four films, space-themed candy, and a Southwest-style lunch by Good Day Catering. Several exhibits, including a spacesuit and moon rock, and a film, "Apollo 11: First Steps," paid special attention to the NASA mission, the 50th anniversary of which will be celebrated next month. Additionally, some UIT employees tried landing a virtual lunar module, much like the one piloted by astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong.
A huge shout-out to all of the out-of-this-world colleagues who helped make this party a success, from greeters to ticket stampers and beyond (see the Kudos page for a complete list of volunteers).
And thanks to all UIT employees for the many important contributions you make, every day, to support the University of Utah community and our shared strategic goals.
