Kudos & Congratulations

UIT staff recognized for their excellent work

Congratulations to Jesse Adams (Information Security Office) and Melissa Ulfich (UIT Finance) for winning the last prize drawing!

A big thank you to Dean Murray and Remington Sorenson on my team (Service Management, Platform Services). We've had some turnover lately and they have stepped up to help us new people succeed in our development work. They take time out of their day without complaint to help us. They are both great co-workers and friends! Thank you both!

~ Ross Bunnell, Service Management

Mad props to Aleksandar "Aleks" Branko Ignjatovic from Service Monitoring for his expert and unwavering assistance cleaning up the USS WEB Dashboard in Orion. His willingness to help and quick turnaround addressing problems with the configuration and display of our monitoring dashboard was top notch, and his work was executed in a professional and timely manner, ultimately resulting in a job well done. Aleks' responsiveness, knowledge of the product, and willingness to help is an shining example of the best part of UIT.

~ Marc Thompson, University Support Services

I am so appreciative of the help from Eric Jensen (UIT Account Executives), Haylee Lott (UIT Voice Engineers), and Hayden Waters (Office of Associate Vice President for Student Affairs) for getting our phone lines up and running. I know many hours were put in to find solutions to make this work. You went above and beyond any expectations.

Our office now has its phone queue up and running because of you. This is a big deal for us and I cannot thank you enough.

~ Chelsea Springer, associate director, Administration Financial Aid and Scholarships

Lisa Osborne is amazing!

On Tuesday, May 5, 2020, there was a meeting at 11:00 a.m. to inform a group of hospital managers that many of our employees’ workstations would be moving the next day, followed by a medical unit move. To help streamline the process and answer questions, Lisa came to the hospital for a second time and started getting a phone plan in place. Once Lisa had our 5th floor plan written down, we learned of a last-minute change moving everyone to the 6th floor. Lisa took it all in stride and started the phone plan over until all needs were addressed. The next day, when employees moved to their new workstations, a few minor phone glitches were identified. Lisa met me up on the floor, called a colleague to bring in another phone and took care of all remaining phone needs.

I am so impressed with how much Lisa accomplished for all of us in less than 48 hours. She is an unsung hero in our organization!

~ Patricia Galbraith, Social Work and Spiritual Care

As you might expect, this does not come as a surprise. Lisa is a high performer with a can-do attitude. As her supervisor, I notice she sets the standard for the other team members who, in their own right are also high performers.

~ Bryan Morris, Communications Infrastructure

Dean Murray has been an amazing and helpful coworker. He has been really outstanding in answering questions and helping our new employees learn (including myself). He's very knowledgeable and hardworking, and motivates the rest of the team to work hard. I just want to say I appreciate his efforts to help others.

Remington Sorenson is very positive and brings that positive energy to the rest of our team. He's excellent at communicating his knowledge about ServiceNow to our team and to people outside of our team. He has been essential in helping our team transition after big changes. I want to send kudos his way for his positivity and his gregariousness.

Ross Bunnell has also brought a lot of positivity to the team. Although he is new to the team as well, he has been hardworking and willing to step up when needed, including volunteering his efforts with helping with the COVID-19 response. I want to praise his enthusiasm and eagerness to help others.

~ Jasmine Haywood, Service Management
