Kudos & Congratulations

UIT staff recognized for their excellent work
Congratulations to Vijay Kammili and Chris Moore (both from the CTO organization) for winning the last prize drawing!
A huge thank you to Ellis Valdez for making my onboarding experience smooth and enjoyable. Your clear guidance, patience, and willingness to help made navigating my first week so much easier. It’s great to have such a supportive teammate in IT who goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs seamlessly. Really appreciate your help! 👏
~ Meredith Vernick, College of Architecture + Planning
Thank you, Andrew Pistorius, for helping us fix our voicemail! I really appreciate all that you do!
~ Reylia Morford, RX Thrombosis
I’d like to thank the Identity & Access Management and UMail teams, specifically Steve Adams, Justin Evans, Rohit Pant, and Aspen Field, for their work in handling a problem recently. You all don’t know what happens behind the scenes when we have problems but they have been working nonstop to resolve something so that the outcome is that things are working with minimal or no disruption to services. I really appreciate their hard work a dedication to their jobs.
~ Beth Sallay, ISO
Barb Iannucci, taking on new challenges with gusto while keeping a steady, listening ear tuned to the team is energizing. You’re making space for growth, and we’re all better for it. Can’t wait to see how the team evolves. I’d offer you a bar of chocolate in celebration, but ... Here’s to more strategic conversations and the kind of leadership that keeps us curious, connected, and moving forward.
~ Izzy Solvang, USS
Mythri Mani, your diligence and thoughtfulness shine through in everything you do — whether it’s the way you approach challenges or the care you put into your work. But what makes working with you truly special is that secret sense of humor you sneak in at just the right moments. It’s like finding a hidden gem in the middle of a busy day. Thank you for being such a steady, sharp, and quietly hilarious presence on the team!
~ Izzy Solvang, USS
Kudos to Arainna Forth!
You bring such clarity and confidence to your work — knowing your strengths and showing up with honesty and hope, especially when change is in the air. It’s a rare and powerful combination. Your thoughtful approach reminds us that the future belongs to those who plan for it today, and you’re already laying the groundwork. Thanks for leading with intention and inspiring us to do the same.
~ Izzy Solvang, USS
Kudos to Carrie Felton!
You somehow manage to do the work of 10 people without even blinking — gracefully, brilliantly, and with a level of mastery that leaves the rest of us in awe. The entire university runs better because you’re here, and I feel incredibly lucky to learn from you. I’m soaking up every insight I can from that genius mind of yours — consider this my ongoing quest for Carrie-level wisdom. Thank you for being such a powerhouse and a mentor in motion.
~ Izzy Solvang, USS
I would like to kudos Emily Jacoby, Abbey Allen, Shellie Eide, and Josh Leigh. They have been extremely helpful with morale committee events: decorating desk areas and creating an app for trivia (Josh was the creator, and I will definitely be using it for the next trivia hour).
Moreover, they have been delightful folks to work with, bringing positive energy to the office.
~ Patrick Harris, StratComm
I wanted to give a shout out to my team members who absolutely slayed our Fall 2025 Web Editor Summit. Whether it be planning, gathering content behind the scenes, or presenting the day-of, it was a great collaborative effort.
I especially want to thank Abbey Allen, Dan Gillen, Barb Iannucci, and Josh Leigh for standing up and presenting to our campus community. Once again taking one for the team!
~ Emily Jacoby, USS
Chad Thurman, I wanted to let you know that your team (Mike Tyler, César Cruz Hernandez, Josue Smith, Joshua Stallard, and Jonathan Stodola) is doing a great job at Eccles Library. I know it’s difficult to work around people in their workspaces and a building full of students, but they are getting the job done. Mike and his team are communicating with us daily and helping us solve issues. We are trying to accommodate them as much as possible with moving people around. We appreciate all you do!
~ Heidi Greenberg, Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library
I want to thank Nathan Eldredge and Ian Gerrits for all their help throughout the Fire Systems VRF project. When it comes to life safety, having issues addressed urgently and professionally is essential, and both of you have been consistently supportive from start to finish. Thank you for your help, especially as I grind through the slow process of updating hundreds of IP addresses across campus.
~ John Norris, Facilities Management
Thank you, Jon Stodala and Josue Smith, for going the extra mile and getting our data port installed and activated so quick. You are awesome!
~ Chalise Schoenfeld, FMHC Therapy Svcs
Thank you, Heather Winters, for all the work you put in to make a new email address for the SJHC behavioral health nurses to access voicemails easily. I appreciate your help so much!
~ Lucy Preslar, Nursing
I’d like to give a huge shoutout to Jared Gronning for prioritizing a fix and resolving a recent complicated, high stakes issue. We’re grateful for his hard work and we also appreciate the contributions of Roland Curtis and Corey Hayes, who were instrumental in the resolution. Teamwork makes the dream work!
~ Desirae Allen, Care Navigation
Huge shoutout to Aspen Field!
Aspen is always lightning-fast to respond, endlessly kind, and somehow makes every ticket feel easy. Any time I have a question or she jumps in on one of my issues, I know it’s in the best hands. Truly can’t say enough good things about you. Thanks for being an amazing peer, Aspen, your hard work definitely doesn’t go unnoticed!
~ Ellis Valdez, UCCS
AJ Malupo was a TOTAL ROCK STAR!
- patient
- professional
- humorous
- determined to solve my problem, which he did
It took a while, but AJ saw it to its end and was beyond gracious, competent, and rolled with me! He understood my 100% dependence and 100% incompetence. A HUGE thank you!
~ Amos Guiora, College of Law
Carter Jennings was incredibly helpful as I navigated my new university account registration and
prepared for the Utah Bound virtual orientation. While I was experiencing technical
difficulties, he went above and beyond to ensure everything was resolved and took
the time to explain each step clearly. His kindness, patience, and proactive approach
made what could have been a stressful situation feel easy and manageable. I have never
experienced such a helpful, thorough, and genuinely kind tech support interaction.
Carter was truly amazing, and I am very grateful for his support.
~ Savannah Leavitt, undergraduate transfer student
Denise Kovacevic with the Service Coordinators team is fantastic. She is kind and helpful. VERY patient as well. She was helping me get some new phones set up as well as confirming some billing. Thanks for letting me ask a million questions, Denise!
Andrew Pistorius with the Service Coordinators team has been extremely helpful with answering Pinnacle
billing questions and auditing I’ve had. He doesn’t hesitate to help. He is patient
and has helped me clarify a lot of things.
