According to the 2026 WebAIM Million Report, the U’s homepage ranked the 22,640th most accessible out of the 1 million most-visited homepages on the web, placing it in the top 5% worldwide for accessibility.

After 52 years of service to the University of Utah, Dr. Steve Hess’ legacy is woven into the fiber of the state’s educational system — literally and figuratively. Hess will retire on June 30, 2026.

During Indigenous Storytelling Camp, 88 students from the Uintah Ouray Reservation, Monument Valley, White Mesa, and schools across the Wasatch Front gathered at the U to create and share their stories through digital and physical media.
