Users activate 486 Microsoft courses

Since UIT's Office of Software Licensing (OSL) launched access to Microsoft Online Learning courses in January 2016, users have retrieved access codes and activated 486 courses.

“A major benefit is flexibility,” said OSL Vendor Manager Bill Lutz. “Should someone find it difficult to work it into their daytime schedule, they can access the courses from home, at their convenience.”

The courses are free-of-charge to all University students, staff, and faculty who are eligible to download Microsoft software through the OSL web store. The courses are provided as part of the University’s Microsoft Campus Agreement.

To access the courses, visit this page and follow the instructions. Once enrolled, users see the entire online course catalog, which as of July 7, 2016 offered more than 1,200 beginner-to-expert courses, comprised of lessons in English and other languages. The chart to the right reflects the 580 courses available in English. These courses cover topics such as server and desktop operating systems, and other related Microsoft applications and technologies.

If you have any questions about the course offerings, please contact software@utah.edu.
