If you happen to see strangers walking around your building with scanning equipment in the coming weeks, there’s no need to worry – it’s simply part of the campus-wide physical wireless survey UIT is conducting in the month of May.

It’s been a busy 12 months for University Information Technology (UIT). The past fiscal year (FY16) showed a whole lot of wins for the organization, and, ultimately, the University of Utah.

Believe it or not, summer is almost here - and so is the 2016 UIT/ITS Summer Party! On Thursday June 2, 2016, all University Information Technology (UIT) and Information Technology Services (ITS) employees are invited to come together for an afternoon of food and fun at the Natural History Museum of Utah.

UIT’s Office of Software Licensing (OSL) negotiates with vendors to make software available to the U community for discounted rates or, in many cases, free-of-charge to end-users. Many software products are licensed and distributed through OSL’s software web store.

UIT is pleased to announce that effective immediately Marv Hawkins, University Support Services (USS) Associate Director for Product Management, will be taking on a new role over PeopleSoft Finance.
