UIT is proud to announce that University Support Services’ Lani Twitchell has received the Campus Partner of the Year award, presented by the Lowell Bennion Community Service Center.

Twitchell, user experience designer for the USS Content Management and Usability team, has spent the past 17 years with UIT – and the past 26 years at the U. She began her career in graphic design with Continuing Education, before moving over to University Print & Mail Services. It was there that Twitchell began to work more with websites, which would eventually bring her to UIT in 2000.

“Lani works so hard,” said Barb Iannucci, associate director of the Content Management and Usability group. “She really bends over backwards for our clients.”

Iannucci’s group provides content management tools and website support services for University departments and organizations on campus. The group supports over 200 websites for clients on a regular basis, and the Bennion Center is one of those clients.

The center’s staff has been so happy with Twitchell’s support that, at their annual Service Celebration and Awards Ceremony on March 29, they presented her with the 2017 Campus Partner of the Year award.

“She works so hard, and for someone to recognize that, I think that’s really special,” said Iannucci.

“I always try to give the best support I can to anyone who calls or emails our group,” added Twitchell. “That’s one of my main motivations. And this is recognition for that, not just for me, but for our entire group.”

Twitchell also made a point to thank the clients she gets to work with on a regular basis.

“Our clients are great. They really do appreciate our help, and they’re very forthcoming about that,” she said. “They’re great to work with.”

Deputy CIO Ken Pink added his thoughts.

"This is a big honor for Lani, and we're very proud of her," he said. "She's a wonderful asset to the USS Content Management and Usability team."

Please join UIT in congratulating Twitchell for receiving this prestigious and well-deserved award.
