TLT staff present at InstructureCon

Three staff members from Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT) are presenting at InstructureCon 2017 this week, and University Information Technology would like to extend a warm congratulations to those employees: Jon Thomas, TLT director; Qin Li, senior instructional designer; and Jihoon Yoo, software developer. Canvas-Bot (Smart Course-Content Search), by Jihoon Yoo

With the help of a smart course-specific search-bot, students will get full access into course content and other related resources both efficiently and quickly. This advanced, smart search-bot will be ready to respond to students’ questions based on pre-processed course-specific contents and related data in Canvas.

Canvas Data isn't just for developers and data analysts. We will demonstrate three common-sense strategies that have allowed us to use Canvas Data for academic research, program evaluation, and tech support at our institution. With a very basic understanding of SQL, you, too, can harness the power of your data.
