The Coral phone system was implemented in 2005 as a replacement system for off-campus clinics acquired by U of U Health. Over the last few years, however, we've been transitioning off-site clinics to newer systems that provide more capabilities.

UIT's Network Team has completed a major equipment upgrade, bringing eight links of Ethernet fiber that extend from campus to the Downtown Data Center (DDC) up from 10 Gb to 40 Gb, with the potential to be boosted to 100 Gb in the future.
The Utah Nanofab, located in the Sorenson Molecular Biotechnology Building, comprises nano-scale imaging and surface analysis as well as a cleanroom thin film deposition and patterning (think: computer chip technology).
