UIT Talks town hall program gets underway
UIT kicked off a new semi-regular town hall program "UIT Talks" in March. The short, 30-minute events are designed to provide information and dialog opportunities for the University of Utah community regarding UIT initiatives, projects, and services.
All faculty, staff, and students in the campus community are welcome to participate, either in person at 102 Tower (UIT's new downtown building at 102 S 200 E) or via phone or video conference using Skype for Business. Each UIT Talks presentation is recorded and posted online for those unable to participate in the live event.
The first two UIT Talks programs were attended by more than 50 people, in-person or virtually. The inaugural event on March 7, 2017 was an update on the U’s Network Architecture Community of Practice, presented by Clayton Barlow, ITS Associate Director for Enterprise Architecture. On March 14, 2017, Subhasish Mitra, Associate Director for Identity and Access Management, presented an update on the U’S IAM program.
