Summer Fiesta party details

Summer is almost here - and so is the UIT, ITS, and UMB Summer Fiesta!

When and where

This year's party will be held on June 6 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Gallivan Center, located at 239 S. Main Street (walking distance from 102 Tower). See the map below for walking directions.  If you're coming from campus, we suggest biking, taking the U shuttle to 102 Tower, or taking Trax (paid on-street parking is limited). We've reserved the large outdoor East Plaza area, as well as the indoor Gallivan Hall (upstairs). (See map.)

Reminder: You'll need to present your employee ID to partake in the food and games, since the Gallivan Center is a public space. 

Food

Lunch will consist of taco and salad stations with a variety of offerings, catered by Costa Vida. A limited number of corn tortillas, grilled veggies, and non-dairy salad dressing has been ordered as alternatives for those with gluten sensitivities and/or vegan/vegetarian needs. We encourage those with special diets to come early to ensure availability. If you need any of these special dietary options, simply request them from the Costa Vida server when you get in line. Note: non-dairy salad dressing will only be available at the salad station.

All food stations will be located in the Gallivan Hall. (See map.)

Entertainment

This year there will be a variety of fun lawn games, including cactus toss, cow bell toss, bean bag toss, Plinko, and Spill the Milk. Additionally, from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., party guests will be treated to the musical talent of local musician Galen Young.
