All-Hands Meeting photos and roundup

The UIT All-Hands Meeting kicked off on Tuesday, October 17 with Chief Information Officer Steve Hess welcoming the group and introducing Randy Arvay, Chief Information Security Officer. Arvay took over to provide an update on security at the University, and talked about the top five threats in the industry today, the U's current security strategy and strengths, and the plan moving forward.

Deputy CIO Ken Pink then took the floor to individually recognize UIT employees who have reached milestone years of service. Pink thanked them for their dedication and loyalty to the University, and honorees received a certificate of appreciation.

Next up was the Kevin Taylor Service Award nominee recognition and winner announcement. The Award Committee members took turns speaking about the award and nominees: Elliot Fenech, Robert Lake, Trevor Long, Warren Malupo, and Tyler Sauer. Hess announced the winner - Tyler Sauer - who received a plaque and check for $500.

Closing out the meeting's agenda, CIO Steve Hess discussed UIT and campus strategic plans, and covered projects and goals already complete across various units in the organization. Hess thanked UIT employees for their hard work and dedication.
