Photos: 2018 UIT Holiday Luncheon

As is tradition, roughly 300 of University Information Technology's employees took a collective break on December 11 to celebrate the organization's most valuable resource – its employees.

This year's UIT Holiday Luncheon and Prize Drawing was held in the ballroom of the Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House. The annual gathering is a show of appreciation for UIT employees' hard work year-round.

Employees received a doorbuster prize — a mini U-branded Bluetooth speaker — and enjoyed a traditional holiday meal by Good Day Catering that included roasted turkey with cranberry sauce; smashed potatoes with gravy; stuffing; stuffed acorn squash; green beans; sautéed carrots, apples, and onions; a spinach salad with cranberries, red onions and mandarin oranges; and an assortment of desserts. Four rounds of prize drawings were held, with more than 60 giveaways — from a Star Wars Death Star popcorn maker and Echo Dots to a Fire 7 tablet and Polaroid Snap. A portion of prizes were courtesy of these generous university donors: College of Fine Arts, Campus Store, Red Butte Garden, Pioneer Theatre Company, Utah Museum of Fine Arts, and UtahPresents. Two additional prize drawings were held, one for the essential employees who weren't able to attend the party and the other for party volunteers.

UIT Leadership extends a big thank you to everyone involved in planning and managing the event, including all the volunteers. Last but most certainly not least, UITL members send their heartfelt gratitude to all of UIT's talented and dedicated employees!
