UIT is pleased to announce that Brad Millett has been named associate director of Strategic Infrastructure Initiatives in the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) organization.

"I am very excited to work with Brad in his new role with providing oversight for the many infrastructure projects and programs currently underway or being planned," said CTO Jim Livingston. "Brad's extensive experience, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and strategic way of thinking will be a great benefit to me and the infrastructure teams. Brad is an exceptional manager and will do a fantastic job in his new role."

Millett will provide oversight for strategic infrastructure projects and initiatives; coordinate purchasing and contract processes; manage financial resources; coordinate with UIT and Information Technology Services (ITS) project management offices on staff assignments; coordinate reviews with IT Enterprise Architecture and Information Security Office; act as CTO liaison in project coordination meetings, as needed; manage the CTO project dashboard; and oversee incident escalation, coordination, and resolution.

Millett has served a variety of roles in ITS for 15 years, including application developer in data warehousing and software engineering, integration engineer, database administrator III, lead principal database administrator, and IT manager of Enterprise Database Services.

As manager of the Data Management and Platform Support Services team since 2016, Millett provided infrastructure support for a centrally-managed database system on campus, and provided general technical counsel on disaster recovery and implementation efforts for the university at a remote data recovery data center.

Millett holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Management Information Systems) degree from Utah State University, in addition to numerous certifications.
