Kudos & Congratulations

UIT staff recognized for their excellent work

Congratulations to Austin Fullmer (Cable Plant) and Sterling Averett (Service Monitoring) for winning the previous prize drawing!

Kudos to Dragisha Ignjatovic. I have worked with him on several monitoring tasks, each of which he dealt with in a very professional and timely manner. He takes the time to understand your monitoring needs and offers suggestions to really get the most of his team's services. He's a very knowledgeable and professional individual.

~ Victor Morales, Hardware Platform Services

I would like to thank Ken Kizer and his team (Ryan Millward and Steve Adams) for helping me to get the user ID functionality of the CHPC Palo Alto Firewall up and running. Doing so required Ken and his team to completely change the configuration of their own firewalls so the data could be shared. They did a great job working with CHPC and Palo Alto to design a more scalable solution for the entire campus. Ken also personally helped me get the feature activated and functioning for the CHPC protected environment. Without them, it would not have been possible. Thank you, Ken and team.

~ Jacob Evans, Center for High Performance Computing

Thank you Laurent Lecointre for your prompt and professional assistance in helping CHPC and the customers we serve. Laurent and the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) team most recently helped us resolve an issue we had with HIPAA training via [a Learning Management System], and helped to facilitate both a short-term as well as a long-term resolution. We were also impressed with Laurent and the GRC team for their consulting and guidance, and helping us better understand and address regulatory and technical requirements for some critical applications that we support with some important long-term collaborators. We very much appreciate it.

~ Wayne Bradford, Center for High Performance Computing

A huge thank you to Jeshua Pina from Colby Gray's Security Operations Center team for providing both communication and technical expertise in support of Identity & Access Management and a remote customer. Jeshua volunteered to jump in on an issue we were facing, and rather than just provide the help for which we asked, he jumped in all the way, took the issue over, and resolved it MUCH better and more quickly than we could have. These kinds of skills and teamwork set the standard, and we really appreciate you.

~ Chris Stucker, Identity & Access Management

Recently the Service Management team helped my Strategic Communication group by setting up a new UIT Knowledge Base article review workflow in ServiceNow (see the Node 4 article in this month's issue), and we couldn't be more pleased. Collaborating with Clay Postma, Remi Sorenson and Kim Fuller was a pleasure. We're very happy with the new ServiceNow workflow.

~ Cassandra Van Buren, Strategic Communication

I want to compliment Cory Hale for the excellent service he provides each and every time I call or email him with a question. I am always pleased with the prompt and knowledgeable service he provides. When he is uncertain of the correct answer, he directs me to the appropriate person. His professionalism and enthusiasm to help me with my issues exceeds my expectations.

~ Cindy Hanson, Teaching & Learning Technologies

Kudos to Barb Iannucci and Rachael Sheedy for their work on the mobile application strategy.

Kudos to Cassandra Van Buren for her help on the Academic Senate presentations for our Enterprise Software Policy.

Kudos to Alijana Kahriman for her hard work on the USS budget this year.

Kudos for Jill Brinton on her work on the Advancement CRM project.

~ Ken Pink, Deputy CIO
