ISO launches Canvas cybersecurity course for U students
UIT's Information Security Office (ISO) recently launched a new Canvas course for University of Utah students discussing online safety and information security. The training also has been published to its training website and is available to the entire U community.
The course and supplemental website focus on ways to enhance your cybersecurity, including creating stronger passwords, avoiding scams, posting to social media with more caution, and installing antivirus and system updates.
“Being well informed and trained to spot phishing and other cybersecurity threats is the most significant contribution that users can make to their personal security and the security of the University of Utah,” Interim Chief Information Security Officer Corey Roach said.
