Kudos & Congratulations

UIT staff recognized for their excellent work

Congratulations to Zachary Gibb (UIT Communications Infrastructure) and Daniel Gowon (Teaching & Learning Technologies) for winning the previous prize drawing!

A while back we were tasked with making a new functionality inside PeopleSoft for use in the mass upload of assets. This was uncharted territory for us.

Steve Wright was asked to handle development. Soon after, due to other priorities on the team, he also stepped in, without being asked, to learn the product, work with end users on the specs and training, and perform analysis on where to make the needed custom changes, all while taking time off for a couple of major surgeries and experiencing pain during recovery.

After many long workdays and some weekends, as well as countless hours and weeks of user testing, the new functionality was put into production. It received many accolades from the end user, who is very excited to use this new tool, which will greatly improve the creation of assets from the hospital and, in the near future, campus.

Lance Davis is a great example of someone who always makes a difference. Lance goes above and beyond every time he is called to the emergency department, and he always has a smile on his face. THANKS, LANCE!

~ Nathan Roll, University Hospital

Thank you, again, to the Strategic Communication team (Jesse Drake, Larrisa Turner, and Cassandra Van Buren) for all of your help in communicating our plans to the community. Your help is invaluable both for improving the message and for allowing us to focus on IAM with the knowledge that you'll make the communications right. You all do an amazing job, and we sincerely appreciate your team and the critical service that you provide.

~ Chris Stucker, Information Security Office
