UIT staff members and hundreds of their university cohorts converged on Rice-Eccles Stadium on September 26, 2019 to celebrate the 15th annual Employee Appreciation Day (EAD).
The weather was pristine, the mood was light, and perks were not in short supply. Employees were treated to pizza and ice cream, bags full of swag, massages, music from the band Lahjit, a photo booth, Hooked on Books book drive, a chance to win up to $500 in prize giveaways in the exhibitor-filled concourse, and other activities like the football field goal kick.
Volunteering again this year was Chief Information Officer Steve Hess, who served pizza alongside College of Nursing Interim Dean Barbara Wilson and Vice President for Student Affairs Lori McDonald.
EAD is co-sponsored by the Division of Human Resources and U of U Staff Council (UUSC).
