Kudos & Congratulations

UIT staff recognized for their excellent work

Congratulations to Clint Bowles (University Support Services) and Brett Puzey (Teaching & Learning Technologies) for winning the previous prize drawing!

TLT has a hidden gem in Kenneth Larson. Kenneth is an employee who always has a smile, and goes out his way to make clients achieve great results. Kenneth works in TLT's studio, and I have watched his professional work with nervous faculty members produce high-quality products for our students. I have been impressed with his bedside manner and I will always be grateful to him for making my work — work!

~ Daniel Gowon, Teaching & Learning Technologies

Thank you to Jonathan Stodola and Zachary Gibb for their can-do attitudes and onsite problem-solving related to our cable install request. They noted that our request was not standard but came up with a solution, ran it by their supervisor, and successfully completed the install — all with a pleasant/friendly demeanor and focus on service. Thank YOU!

~ Jane Bushnell, Auxiliary Services

I would like to give a quick shout-out to Kelsey Loizos and Roger Kowallis. Both have really stepped up to the plate and have taken on the majority of the work in our current short-handed situation. They are rockstars and I have NO IDEA how we would ever get through this without them!

~ Barb Iannucci, University Support Services

Kudos to Matt DeYoung and Jonathan Hefner for doing an excellent job in the Security Operations Center. I had a great look at just how quickly the SOC sees and responds to things that look strange on our network, and it warmed my old, leathery heart. Matt and Jonathan responded quickly and perfectly. Thank you both, and all of the rest of the SOC crew for your diligence and quick responses. Great job!

~ Chris Stucker, Identity & Access Management

Many thanks to Bryan Morris, Chris Robinson, and Eric Jensen for their help in coordinating various UIT needs for our construction project, and for doing so at the last minute. I greatly appreciated their quick action during a rough construction period! Excellent, customer-focused service! Thank you!

~ Jane Bushnell, Auxiliary Services

A big thanks to Fernando Ferrer Anato for his excellent customer service. He helped us move phones multiple times throughout our construction project. Each time, he arrived promptly, reviewed the request with detail to ensure accuracy, and got the job done quickly. He was helpful, friendly and flexible — and he took steps to ensure our needs were met. He was a pleasure to work with and reduced the stress related to the construction project. Thank YOU!

~ Jane Bushnell, Auxiliary Services

A giant thanks to Kevin Buchan, Amy Talbot, Nate Eldredge, and Tim Goodale for the work on the Sugar House clinic. The team had to crash the UIT schedule to make up for six weeks of construction delays. Their performance under pressure was amazing, and they handled the challenging situation well.

~ Jill Brinton, Project Management Office

Many thanks to Larrisa Turner for her amazing help with the ISO website and logo, and National Cybersecurity Awareness Month campaign. Plus about a million other things! She has been such a fantastic resource to the team and is invaluable in our awareness and training efforts.

~ Trevor Long, Information Security Office
