UIT staff share what it's like working at home — part 2
With most people telecommuting these days, we asked UIT employees to share a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like working from home. This month, staff shared stories about their new routines and co-workers, and the best part of working from home.
Here are some recent highlights from the UIT remote work show-and-tell Microsoft Teams channel.
New routines
"Instead of walking in the [102 Tower] lobby, when I need a break, I jog on this.
It's behind my desk. 🥵"
~ Jan Lovett, University Support Services
The best part of working from home
"Sunlight! Walks with 'co-workers.' Open kitchen!"
~ James Harris, Teaching & Learning Technologies
"Not having to wake up 1.5 hours before I go into work. Now I can just walk a few
steps and I am at work. 🙂"
~ Kim Tanner, Chief Technology Officer organization
"Getting to spend more time with my dog and girlfriend has been great, [and] making lunch and being able to open the patio door and enjoy some fresh air, along with working out on the deck, has been a treat."
~ Peter Hemingway, TLT
New co-workers
"This is Max. As you can see, he is super helpful."
~ Shellie Eide, USS
