Congratulations to Bobby Azeem (CTO organization) and Marcelo Dos Santos (Information Security Office) for winning the last prize drawing!
I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for the entire IT team. Every interaction I’ve had with a field agent has been met with the utmost professionalism, resulting in efficient resolutions and a great customer experience.
Additionally, I want to recognize our Voice Services Team for their invaluable support in navigating the challenges we’ve encountered with Avaya Workplace. Their dedication and expertise have been instrumental in helping us overcome bottlenecks in this area.
I’d like to highlight the contributions of Jared Gronning, Julia Harrison, and Josh Darling — true experts in their respective roles. We genuinely couldn’t accomplish what we do without their expertise and support.
Thank you all for your outstanding efforts!

Steve consistently goes out of his way to check in on others, showing that he values our well-being. Thank you, Steve, for your kindness and support! Your positive influence makes a real difference.

Some of the UIT Help Desk agents wanted to give a shout out to Maximus Isakson! Thank you for all that you do!
~ Patrick Oberg
Maximus has singlehandedly made the help desk an easier, more accessible place to start by all the work he’s done. Although Patrick Oberg and Tom Whitaker do a great job training, there’s still so much knowledge that’s hard to even begin covering on the desk. I honestly don’t know where I’d be without his guidance, KBs, or his incredible efficiency/efficacy with tickets. Give this man a RAISE!!!
~ Zach Anderson
Maximus has made invaluable contributions to improving the UIT Help Desk by streamlining
support processes and implementing effective solutions for common issues. Their dedication
to enhancing customer service, combined with a strong problem-solving approach, has
significantly improved our team’s efficiency and overall user satisfaction.
~ Alex Longoria
Maximus has significantly improved the UIT Help Desk with his exceptional dedication to creating detailed documentation. His contributions are truly invaluable, and the UIT Help Desk would not be the same without him.
~ AJ Malupo
Kudos to Maximus! He has been the cornerstone of improvements on the UIT Help Desk by creating documentation that we rely upon, striving to work fast and efficiently and always helping his coworkers with questions. Even while balancing school, Maximus has been a pillar of reliability for our help desk.
~ Stam Burgess
A big thank you and shout out to Justin Fracchia!! Justin was helping one of my office cohorts, and I overheard him say something about the internet being down. I popped my head in to see if it was the same issue my staff and I were having with the internet not connecting, and he told me it was campus-wide. He was kind enough to reach out to me a few more times, throughout the day, to keep me updated on the progress of the outage. He even double checked with me the next day to see if we were still experiencing the same issues. Thanks so much for keeping me and my staff updated. It helped a ton to have the updates, and to follow up when it wasn’t my ticket.
~ LeeAnn Zappitello, Center for Disability & Access
Farid Lopez is an amazing UIT support person. He is knowledgeable, efficient, and very pleasant to work with. He handles our quirky group quite well and always helps us make the most of our tech.
~ Kim Clarken, Office of the Dean of Students
Denise Kovacevic is EXCELLENT! She has been so incredibly helpful to me as I have been switching between phone lines and losing PINs! I am so thankful for her helpfulness, patience, and kindness.
~ Katie Burkley, Madsen Geriatrics and Internal Medicine
Samantha Lankford — Sam is always great. She responds quickly, really knows her stuff, and is a pleasure to work with.
Aspen Field — When a UMail ticket gets assigned to Aspen, I’m, like, great, I get to work with her again. She’s the best.
Tom Whitaker — When I need help from the UIT Help Desk, Tom is the best. He always knows the answer, or a person to direct my task to. Whatever I need to know, he either can solve it of consult and guide me in the right direction.
Beth Sallay — I haven’t needed to work with Beth alot since she moved to IAM. I had the pleasure of working with her on a recent issue. She is great! She helped with the issue and had notes on the topic that helped me work on a future direction to make the process in question better.
~ Robert White, Office of Undergraduate Studies
Denise Kovacevic has been highly communicative with me regarding recent phone ticket orders and has educated me about services that I was unaware of that will improve employee experience.
