Kudos & Congratulations

University IT staff recognized for their excellent work
Big thank you to Mythri Mani (UIT) for smoothly handling so many efforts across the team and ensuring all of the glass balls stay in the air while a major project is finalized and goes live.
A huge shout out and thank you to Izzy Solvang (UIT) for the incredible work she has put into building a new registration system for Go Learn. Izzy has created an elegant solution for this unique use case that handles planning, reminders, emails, registration, waitlist, DocuSign waivers, payment, surveys, and more. It is a comprehensive solution as their original system prepares to sunset, and Izzy has done a great job getting it to the finish line.
~ Carrie Felton, UIT
I would like to recognize Israel “Izzy” Walker (UUHP Systems Department) for his outstanding and ongoing support in ensuring that new customer service agents receive their computer desktops promptly and efficiently. Whether it is preparing equipment in advance so agents have what they need early in their training or providing continued assistance with software updates and program reinstalls, Izzy consistently delivers exceptional service.
Izzy is always approachable, responsive, and willing to help in any way he can. His dedication and support play a critical role in helping training sessions run smoothly and allowing me to provide the highest quality training experience for our new agents.
Thank you, Izzy, for your reliability, professionalism, and commitment to supporting our team. Your assistance is truly appreciated, and I could not do what I do without your help.
~ Brett Lund, UUHP Systems Department
As well as being an extraordinary interface analyst, Jana Garrity (ITS) has taken an additional role as our team‘s SAFe Team Coach. This extra responsibility often goes unnoticed and underappreciated — in our case it does because Jana keeps our team well organized and on track, meeting our project demands and objectives.
Thanks, Jana, for all of the great work you give to our team and organization!
~ John Colt, ITS
Thank you and kudos to Ryan Millward (UIT) for his continuous assistance with the UCloud team doing routing tasks, such as firewall review of new cloud landing zones, but also most recently for taking the time and effort to showcase the Wiz system to the team. Ryan takes great care in his work, is patient, and excited to assist with his expertise. Thank you, Ryan!
~ Tyler Sauer, UIT
David Tubbs (ITS) has had a very large impact on the start of my career here at the University of Utah. Despite being a very knowledgeable network engineer who is constantly busy with other tasks, he makes time to work with me on troubleshooting frequently. Additionally, he goes above and beyond to make sure that the problem isn’t just solved but also that I understand the problem and the solution thoroughly so that I can do it myself next time. I have really appreciated working with David and think he deserves some recognition for his hard working mindset and detail-oriented mentality with those around him.
~ John Kirkham, UIT
Chris Reed’s (ITS) support and assistance with the UH interface team is highly valued. As the Epic Technical Core team manager, Chris often provides direct support and troubleshooting guidance with the Interconnect and web services he supports, helping to quickly resolve issues that occur.
Thank you, Chris, for your dedication, expertise, and ongoing support with our interface team and our organization!
~ John Colt, ITS
Our offices in 250 Tower downtown often get sidestepped when asking for support from campus IT. Not this time! Maximus Isakson (UIT) went the extra mile to find out who could help us with our server room. He was quick to help, polite, and kind. Thank you, Maximus!
~ Suzy Bindrup, Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health
