In an effort to improve the wireless experience for students, UIT’s Network Team is conducting a pilot program in campus housing on a new University wireless network called ULink.

Spend a little time with UIT’s Service Coordinators in Network and Communications Infrastructure and it quickly becomes apparent that the recipe for their success includes a little levity and a lot of grace under pressure.

The UIT Kevin Taylor Memorial Service Award program was established in 2014 to recognize superior service and ongoing contributions by UIT employees. Congratulations to all of this year's nominees, and thanks for all that you do.

The UIT All-Hands Meeting kicked off on Tuesday, October 17 with Chief Information Officer Steve Hess welcoming the group and introducing Randy Arvay, Chief Information Security Officer. Arvay took over to provide an update on security at the University, and talked about the top five threats in the industry today, the U's current security strategy and strengths, and the plan moving forward.
