Kudos & Congratulations

UIT staff recognized for their excellent work

Congratulations to Matt Juber (CTO organization) and Thomas Radman (University Support Services) for winning the last prize drawing!

Gordon Kafton, thank you so much for getting my new laptop ordered, set up, and all the permissions adjusted before a recent trip.

It made all the difference in the world having a fast and reliable machine that could work on a long battery — on flights, at the conference venue, preparing for my presentations and proposals — it was indispensable. You also thought ahead about a bunch of logistical hurdles that really paid off.

Next, I take it to LA — planes, trains, talks, and museum work — and I'm so glad to have it. Thank you, thank you!

~ Dr. Kathleen Ritterbush, Department of Geology and Geophysics

I would like to give Kudos to Josh Stallard and Jon Stodola for helping a customer whose needs had been escalated and making sure that everything was working to the customer's expectations before they left. I would also like to give a special thanks to Brandon Callahan, a wireless network engineer. He went over and above to provide on-site technical support to help resolve this issue.

Together, we worked across lines, as a team, to ensure that the customer was happy and their issues were resolved to their satisfaction.

~ Mike Tyler, CTO organization

I want to thank Jason Moeller and Piotr Pawlikowski for their outstanding work on the hospital audit. A new auditing team always brings about challenges, and Jason and Piotr worked through all the issues in a calm and professional manner. Nicely done, as usual. Kudos to you both.

~ Ken Pink, Deputy CIO

I would like to give an enormous kudos and shout-out to Emily Jacoby, Roger Kowallis, and Shellie Eide for working diligently and tirelessly to get our form migration project to the finish line. This project was not only a monumental lift in terms of sheer amount of forms that needed to be moved and rebuilt in the new system, but also in terms of stakeholders to communicate and coordinate with, the number of obstacles that came up, and work-arounds to find. They all worked together so well as a team to creatively solve all the problems that inevitably crop up when you are working to replace an old system that has been heavily used for over a decade.

~ Barb Iannucci, University Support Services

I'd like to thank Joey Yang for fixing my laptop last week and ALL other things he does to support us! Joey has always been super responsive and helpful answering my questions and providing technical support since I joined the Data Management and Analytics team a few years ago. I don't know what to do without him!

~ Hui Qiao, University Support Services
