Kudos & Congratulations
UIT staff recognized for their excellent work
Congratulations to Margaret Witbeck (Office of Software Licensing) and Melissa Ulfich (UIT Finance) for winning the last prize drawing!
I would like to take a minute to thank our Help Desk team, in particular Maximus Isakson, for the great work they do. Maximus is quick to provide me with answers to questions I have about services and up/down status on said services. These prompt responses allow me to find solutions quicker in my area of responsibility.
~ Farid Lopez, UCCS
I want to recognize Heather Winters for her continued work to support our office. As our office integrates a call center with the employees working 100% remote, having a resource to troubleshoot phone challenges is important. Heather's expertise, calm demeanor, professionalism, and grit continue to support our office's remote employees. I am grateful for Heather's timely and clear communication during this very busy time of year for our office. THANK YOU, HEATHER!!!
~ Kevin Howe, Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid
I would like to give Heather Winters a shout-out! She helped me with a difficult chart field situation and was very pleasant and accommodating. Even when I contacted her again and because I was not informed from a supervisor about an activity closing and had to reverse the change, she didn't hesitate to immediately change it back. As far as I'm concerned, she is a UIT rockstar!
~ Valerie Johnson, Facilities Support
I'd like to say kudos to Bryan Morris. He is very accommodating and encouraging, and is always there when we need him. I appreciate that he puts his trust in us to get the job done.
~ Alishia Seo, CTO organization
I would like to thank Nathan Eldredge, Gabriela Lozano, Bobby Azeem, and Ken Kizer (ITS) for their tireless work on the barrage of firewall requests
that I have been putting in as part of our Avaya systems upgrades. There have been
a lot, and some of them are extremely complicated. Their efforts are very much appreciated.
I would like to thank Ryan Millward and Ben Poster for their dedication at approving my firewall requests. They give valuable input regarding the best practices and recommendations to improve the process. It used to take a few days to get the rule changes approved. Not sure what they changed, bu the process is much quicker now.
I would like to thank Chris Livingston for his efforts in completing the ACI contracts that have been required as we have had to move many of our upgraded systems to greenfield in the DDC. He is always patient with me as I try to understand all the caveats and nuances of the ACI platform. He always willing to take the time to explain why I do or do not need a contract for the various devices.
~ Brent Ridgeway, CTO organization
I want to give HUGE KUDOS to Sam Lankford, Heather Winters, Nick Larsen, and Julia Harrison for all they did to take care of my chaos and make it run smoothly while I was unexpectedly out for a couple of weeks. I was able to not worry about the work and concentrate on taking care of myself. I always know I can depend on them when help is needed. Thank you to all of them.
~ Teri Pearson, CTO organization
I want to give a shoutout to Corey Hayes, who went above and beyond. I needed help with what I thought was an easy question but was slightly more complicated than I anticipated. Corey not only answered my question but stayed with me until he was sure I understood. He actually gave me a tool and the knowledge to make my job a little easier and for this I am grateful.
~ Cindy Hanson, University Connected Learning
I am grateful for Samantha Lankford when my tickets are assigned to her. She knows her stuff, completes the requests at hand, and communicates with questions if it’s not clear. Thank you for all you do!
~ Trinh Lam, University of Utah Health Plans
Huge thanks to Eric Watson, Devin Fink, and Garth DeVries for the image of MyClassMap, which UMC's social manager had requested for the U's main social accounts. I appreciate your quick turnaround!
