Microsoft login service upgrade begins on August 6

Power Automate users must update their connections

Starting at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2024, on a rolling basis, UIT will migrate University of Utah and University of Utah Health users to an upgraded version of the U’s login service for Microsoft web and desktop services. The update, which includes a refreshed interface, improves the IT security and performance of the Microsoft authentication process.

Users will receive an email 24 to 48 hours before UIT migrates their accounts to remind them about the change.

After being migrated, users will be logged out of all university-managed Microsoft services and resources. The new interface will appear when they are asked to log in again.

Users should sign in with their uNID@umail.utah.edu email address and university password.

Power Automate users

This change will also affect Microsoft Power Automate connections. To prevent a disruption in service, Power Automate users should update their connections before August 6, 2024. Visit https://make.powerautomate.com and then select “Connections” on the left to view a list of connections that need to be fixed. For additional instructions on how to update connections (e.g., Box, Google services, Microsoft 365 services, and Salesforce), please visit this Microsoft support page.
