Kudos & Congratulations
UIT staff recognized for their excellent work
Congratulations to Alex Longoria (CTO organization) for winning the last prize drawing!
I want to once again recognize the stellar efforts by members of the Network Firewall Team — Gabriela Lozano, Bobby Azeem, and Nathan Eldredge — who have been pivotal in helping with firewall requests related to the EPIC DR project.
They have been responsive, professional, and helpful with last minute firewall requests and they’re always willing to jump in and assist when needed. I consider it a pleasure to work with them every day.
Thank you all for your continued efforts! I appreciate all of your hard work!
~ Ryan Millward, Information Security Office
Thanks to Dave Packham and the ISO team for the lightning fast turnaround on our SSL certificate. Miracle workers saving me from my own slothfulness.
~ Brian Harris, University Support Services
So many thanks to Dane Luby for helping me track down the answer to some strange data. Once he found the answer, he helped me understand and troubleshoot on my end, and then dug even deeper to find the underlying cause. HUGE wins as a result. Thank you so much, Dane!
~ Carrie Felton, University Connected Learning (UCL)
Kudos to AJ Malupo! AJ’s contributions to Help Desk documentation and knowledge sharing help keep our team well informed. I greatly appreciate the enthusiasm and dedication he brings to our team.
~ Maximus Isakson, CTO organization
My kudos go to Larrisa Beth Turner in StratComm. Larrisa is a great professional and wonderful to work with. We have interacted usually in projects related to cybersecurity awareness month, and she is always resourceful and helpful in guiding our team on the best ways to provide information to the U community. Her ability to reorganize texts, emphasize ideas and topics, and format articles we send to her are key to our efforts to increase cybersecurity awareness at the U. She is very polite and friendly whenever we interact, and very proactive in offering her time and skills to help us whenever needed.
~ Marcelo Dos Santos, Information Security Office

I’d like to recognize Abbey Allen for her outstanding contribution to our annual Modern Campus CMS Web Editor Summit event this week. This event is an important opportunity for the team to update the community on our latest projects and the new features we’ve added to improve both the content editing experience and the overall website user experience.
Abbey played a key role this year, not only in helping develop the presentation slides, but also in stepping up to present alongside me. Her willingness to take on such a visible role was truly appreciated, and it added great value to the event. As someone who provides direct support to our editors, her insights and presence brought an extra layer of connection that our editor community really benefited from.
I’m grateful to the entire team for their ongoing hard work behind the scenes, but I wanted to give a special shoutout to Abbey for taking the lead in this way. Her initiative and dedication were a huge help, and I know it made a real impact on our editors.
