The Colleges of Health and Nursing and Department of Pediatric Administration recently reached a major milestone by completing cybersecurity toolset implementation. To mark the achievement, UIT’s Partner Relations team hosted a celebration with plenty of pizza, cybersecurity star t-shirts, and gratitude for the hard work that made it all possible.

College of Health Dean Kelly Tappenden shared her appreciation for the consistent, high-level support from her college’s SYSTECH team:

Keep in touch with UIT Partner Relations

“One of the wonderful things about being the dean is that SYSTECH takes care of our IT needs — be it research, IT security, or tech support for faculty and staff. As a fairly new dean, coming in all I heard was wonderful praise about our IT group. I’m so thrilled with the leadership SYSTECH provides. I don’t need to worry because they do such a great job at taking care of us.”

That sentiment was echoed by SYSTECH Director Rebwar Baesmat, who emphasized the importance of teamwork in securing the university’s IT resources:

“I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our incredible SYSTECH team and our partners in UIT Partner Relations for their dedication and hard work. This accomplishment reflects our collective commitment to strengthening IT security, enhancing compliance, and ensuring a robust IT environment for the University of Utah.”

Cody Rasmussen, College of Nursing IT project manager, praised Partner Relations for a positive experience during the toolset implementation

“Huge kudos to Partner Relations for making the initiative fun, effective, and friendly. Also, we have an awesome commander-in-chief, Rebwar, coupled with a fantastic team at his side.”
