Kudos & Congratulations

UIT staff recognized for their excellent work

Congratulations to Steve Wright (University Support Services) and Diya Mandot (Digital Learning Technologies) for winning the last prize drawing!

John Telford and Don Durazo work extremely well together as a team as well as part of the DPS Team. They are responsive to our needs and go out of their way to serve us in an efficient and competent manner. They manage a lot of time sensitive requests in a professional and service-oriented manner. They will meet us where the help is needed whether that be at the Public Safety Building, the Park Building, or the hospital. They can figure out what the problem is even when we don’t know how to describe it to them. They go out of their way to provide equipment. Even when it is after hours, they are so responsive and help us keep functioning.

Thank you, John and Don, for helping us serve the campus community! We couldn’t do it without you!

~ Keith Squires, Department of Public Safety

Note: Squires selected Telford and Durazo as DPS Teammates of the Month for December 2024.

Alisha Webb helped me set up the phone in my new office. I’ve moved offices and needed this done at outside facilities at least five times previously and this was the most efficient and helpful assistance I’ve received. Her email/Teams instructions were very clear and this was taken care of so quickly. As an aside, Alisha was warm and engaged on our phone call — qualities I’m not used to experiencing on these types of phone calls. Kudos to Alisha and many thanks again!

~ Catherine Chang, Pediatrics

Alex Manzione has shined as the primary point person handling Adobe licensing tier 2 support items. Alex has grown into an Adobe admin in the last three months. He now serves as a key team member of the Adobe license team.

An example of his proactive professionalism can be seen when he observed a change in the volume and type of support requests coming in. Alex worked collaboratively with with USS, OSL, and IAM to help troubleshoot the root cause of issues in the automated processes. This required manually servicing many individual license requests. Few will know the work he put in to fulfill license requests, work with the team in troubleshooting, and provide regular updates on progress.

When you get a chance, thank Alex Manzione for his contribution to UIT professional excellence!

~ James Harris, Digital Learning Technologies

Denise Kovacevic helps me out so much with my telecommuting questions and need. Her patience and kindness has really gone a long way in making my job easier!

~ Dominique Garnett, Pediatrics

Heather Winters, thank you so much for your kindness and assistance with Avaya. It is so appreciated.

~ Leah Lipp, Revenue Cycle Support Services

David Tubbs has been instrumental in helping SCI integrate our new network with UIT and create our presence in the DDC. More than that, he’s just a pleasant person to work with, always going above and beyond the call of duty.

~ Todd Green, SCI Institute

I just wanted to take a moment to say how much I, the whole ORIS team, and many others in the VPR office, appreciate working with Paul Richardson. His expertise and deep understanding are always appreciated. He always brings a calm, level-headed perspective, and it makes such a difference. He is that voice of reason we can count on, and his support never goes unnoticed.

I know the BRR project meant very long hours and a lot of moving pieces, but Paul and his entire team handled it all so well and kept everything on track.

Thanks, Paul, for everything you do, particularly how well you work with everyone on both sides.

It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with you.

~ Bob Larsen, Office of Research Information Systems

I wanted to thank Heather Winters for all of her efforts in troubleshooting and finding a solution for adding me to a Teams call distribution list. She was always focused on helping resolve the situation. Her continued follow-up with me and persistence in finding answers was extremely professional and polite at all times. Her excellent customer service far exceeded my expectations. Kudos to Heather!

~ Duane Bentley, OCM - Logistics

Thank you, Julia Harrison, for always being so helpful with phone setup questions and assistance. You are so great to work with!

~ Michele Beutler, Health Plans Provider
