Kudos & Congratulations

UIT staff recognized for their excellent work

Congratulations to Chalimar Swain (Strategic Planning and Process Team) for winning the previous prize drawing!

While working on a very challenging forensics case, Nate Remynse didn't give up and was able to find a missing piece to the puzzle. His inquisitive mind has been a fantastic addition to the team.

Kudos to Stacey Wood's UIT Campus Computer Support team, specifically Matt Munro and Monte Shaw, who generally seem to draw the short straw in supporting IAM. Thank you for helping us and making it as easy as possible. You do a great job!

In December, a vendor did a scheduled upgrade on one of our third party applications. The change could not be backed out by the vendor but did cause our integration to no longer function. Ray Lacanienta worked over the Christmas and New Year holiday, worked on his vacation days, weekends, nights, and spent many hours analyzing and trying a number of alternatives before we were able to finally find the solution that got us back in business. This was a critical application for us as it deals with lots of monies that during this time period had to be done manually instead of allowing the system to do its job.

So, big-time kudos to Ray for his tireless and upbeat performance to get us back online.

Thanks to Jesse Adams, Matt DeYoung, Ryan Terry, and Nico Holguin for the extra help they gave me on a recent forensics case. It's super helpful when you can ask others to help gather intel and they jump right in and help out. Complex incidents are definitely a group activity. Thanks, fellas!
