This October, for Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CSAM), UIT's Information Security Office (ISO) has highlighted the ways in which internet-connected devices have impacted our lives — good and bad — and provided the information and resources to empower users to protect their part of cyberspace.
If everyone does their part — implementing stronger security practices, raising community awareness, educating vulnerable audiences, or training employees — our interconnected world will be safer and more resilient.
If you haven’t already, please consider taking a few moments to visit the ISO’s CSAM website to check up on your cyber hygiene or share it with others. Topics include:
- Creating a cybersecure workspace — at home
- It’s a trap! Why so many phishing attacks succeed.
- Meet the computer forensics experts who investigate the U's cybersecurity incidents
- What to do when an abuser uses technology against you
- 8 simple tips to improve your online safety and security
- Common scams — and how to spot them
