Some Microsoft software no longer available via Kivuto

Effective January 1, 2021, some Microsoft software is no longer available through the Kivuto OnTheHub web store. Microsoft will continue to provide updates for software previously purchased though the Kivuto web store.

Students may no longer purchase Office Professional Plus 2019 (PC), Office Home & Business 2019 (Mac/PC), Office Professional Plus 2016 (PC), and Office Home & Business 2016 for Mac. Students remain eligible to receive a Windows 10 upgrade from the Kivuto web store at no cost, and may obtain a free Office 365 subscription from the U's O365 portal.

Faculty and staff may no longer purchase Windows 10 upgrade, Office Professional Plus 2019 (PC), Office Home & Business 2019 (Mac/PC), Office Professional Plus 2016 (PC), Office Home & Business 2016 for Mac, and Visio 2019.

Faculty and staff may continue to:

  • Receive a Windows 10 upgrade and Office products through local IT departments on university-owned or leased devices
  • Obtain a free O365 subscription for work purposes through the U's O365 portal
  • Purchase a personal (home use) subscription to share with up to six family members at a 30% discount through Microsoft
  • Purchase Windows 10 for personal devices at reduced pricing from the Microsoft store
