Kudos & Congratulations

UIT staff recognized for their excellent work

Congratulations to Robert Veljak Mijatovic (CTO organization) and Judy Yeates (Office of the CIO) for winning the last prize drawing!

Ray Carsey! He is an amazing manager that cares about his employees. Ray has always been supportive and fights for me and my needs.

~ Derek Paniagua, CTO organization

Dan Jenkins is the best! He is always willing to answer questions, collaborate, or roll up his sleeves to jump in and help. Specifically, I reached out to him after business hours recently to assist with an issue we were having with a production server. With his assistance we were able to prevent a small incident from evolving into a much bigger problem. I can't say enough how much I appreciate his willingness to help out at any time. He is a great asset to our organization.

~ Josh Grey, CTO organization

Had to drop a quick note of thanks and recognition for Syndi Haywood and James Rice. Last week, we expressed concern about the inefficiencies/struggles we are experiencing without the virtual network computing (VNC) viewer. They quickly discussed and worked with others to develop an interim solution for us until a long-term approach is determined.

I so very much appreciate your teams' collaboration and support of our operations.

~ Lori Aguilar, Revenue Cycle Support Services

I would like to give kudos to Chris Livingston, senior network engineer at UIT. Chris has been extremely responsive and very helpful with a server move project I have been working on. He has gone the extra mile for calls and meetings to make sure my equipment is working correctly. Thanks Chris!

~ Kyle Leete, John A. Moran Eye Center

Thanks to Beth Sallay, who jumped in to help me with some urgent computer issues ahead of the All-Hands Meeting. I also appreciate all the time she's put in to help me set up my new laptop.

~ Larrisa Beth Turner, Strategic Communication

Thanks to Clayton Norlen and Ian Elfont, who've been researching and developing ways we can use O365 Power Automate's adaptive flow to better communicate with readers.

~ Larrisa Beth Turner, Strategic Communication

Thanks to Trina Luong, who handled my ticket requesting changes to the IT Knowledge Base and, by extension, the ServiceNow portal. Her efforts enabled the university to provide a more accessible platform for our users and employees.

~ Larrisa Beth Turner, Strategic Communication

One of our UIT partners, University Support Services, recently challenged our UIT Software Platform Services teams to a good, old-fashioned game of kickball. The score was 21-5. A big kudos and thank you to Stephan Stankovic and Shenia Sellers for coordinating the match, Thanh Nguyen for taking professional photographs and supplying ice, Dalton Clift for bringing the extremely heavy cooler, and USS for providing J. Dawgs. Also, a big thank you to all those who participated. Everyone demonstrated excellent teamwork and team spirit!

~ Kim Tanner, CTO organization

I appreciate Kelly Tomlinson's gift for facilitating conversations. She ran a very large meeting with huge success. It required tons of prep time, learning new technologies, designing and mapping interactions, and good old-fashioned conversational skills. Participants loved it! I so appreciate her leadership on our team!

~ Jeff Shuckra, Strategic Planning and Process Team
