Kudos & Congratulations
UIT staff recognized for their excellent work
Congratulations to Tony Jess (Chief Technology Officer organization) and Melissa Ulfich (UIT Finance) for winning the last prize drawing!
A big THANK YOU to the following people for getting us through an extremely complex WSO2 problem:
Jon Ross, Chris Moore, Stephan Stankovich, Thanh Nguyen, Rob Birkenshaw, Arnie Carter, Reza Sarijlou, Paul Richardson, Jordan Ainslie, Matt Edgren, Mitch West, and Val Olds.
They demonstrated dedication and excellent teamwork to resolve this issue. Thank you for all your hours and hard work on this one. We could have not done this without you.
~ Kim Tanner, Chief Technology Officer organization, and Jason Moeller, University Support Services
To say Vijay Kammili does a great job would be a terrible understatement. Vijay is the epitome of a team asset. He never has a negative response, always makes time for questions or system issues, and has made my job infiinitely easier, as my team and I know we have a wealth of knowledge and know-how in him.
~ James Rixe, University of Utah Health Care Navigation
I would like to recognize Mathew Edgren from the USS HR/Auxiliary Team.
He is a "team"-focused person who consistently works hard to keep his team members united and help them produce top-quality work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
His focus and efforts are not at a personal level but at the higher, more valuable team and organization level.
He is very busy and has a lot going on, but he recently went the extra mile and took
personal time to help do what he could to get a project done before the start of the
fall semester because he wants to help make students' campus experience more useful
and meaningful.
This is not unusual for Mathew. He is a great benefit to the university and a valuable
asset!
~ Dan Thornley, University Support Services
I was remoted into a few computers at the Student Health Center/Madsen when their network went down. I called the [Network Operations Center] and talked to Will Watkins who confirmed the switch was having problems. He very quickly drove up there with Nathan Eldredge. There were patients in the waiting room and those two had the internet back up and running within 45 minutes. I am really grateful for how quickly they had this diagnosed and repaired. Thank you so much for your fast and efficient work. I appreciate all that you guys do!
~ Beth Sallay, Chief Technology Officer organization
Big shout-out to Claire Ashdown for all of her hard work on the CMDB project! I really appreciate the effort and time she continues to devote to the project and to keeping tasks moving forward. Thanks, Claire!
~ Joshua "Coop" Cooper, Information Technology Services
Kudos to Emily Jacoby, who not only responded quickly to our request to transfer the IAM website under the ISO directory but moved all our pages and resources within a few short hours. I also appreciate her patience while I cleaned up the site and asked a bunch of questions! Kudos also to Roger Kowallis, who updated the site navigation.
And Kudos to Marc Thompson, whose keen interest in Microsoft Teams has been a huge benefit for users like me who have advanced questions but not enough time to research them. Marc has helped me try to figure out a few features and integrations among O365 apps, which I greatly appreciate!
