The University of Utah's Network Team is piloting a training program for UIT and IT staff across campus using the Canvas learning management system.

To cut down on digital noise, UIT rolled out a pilot change in September to the UConnect network in 102 Tower, transitioning to a 5GHz-only network. Subject to the outcome of the pilot, 5GHz may become the U's new baseline frequency.

In an effort to improve the wireless experience for students, UIT’s Network Team is conducting a pilot program in campus housing on a new University wireless network called ULink.

Prior to the discovery of four "surprise" conduits, the ACC "east feed" project already included 15,000 to 17,000 connections (phone, fiber, etc.).
