The Enterprise Web Advisory Council (EWAC) met on June 23 and will meet again on August 8. The Strategic Information Technology Committee (SITC) will reconvene on July 9, the Architecture and New Technology Committee (ANTC) will meet again on July 22, and the Teaching and Learning Portfolio (TLP) will next assemble on August 20.

The U of U alum, who sought a career at the university because he missed being on campus, calls his team the Swiss Army knife of Digital Learning Technologies (DLT).

UIT is leading a phased project to deploy a cybersecurity solution called network access control (NAC) at the University of Utah and University of Utah Health. NAC implementation at the U has been in development since 2019.

While using an external provider for websites with no sensitive data isn’t against university policy, those services often do not meet the university’s accessibility, branding, and IT security standards, potentially affecting the U’s reputation and safety.

The Teaching and Learning Portfolio (TLP) met on May 21. No other IT governance groups met in May. The Enterprise Web Advisory Council (EWAC) next meets on June 13, the Strategic Information Technology Committee (SITC) reconvenes on July 9, and the Architecture and New Technology Committee will get together again on July 22.
