A portal to help students purchase and manage software from the university's Office of Software Licensing (OSL) is now available via Campus Information Services (CIS).

The OSL tile in CIS that students previously used to access the OSL web store is now named "Student Software Catalog" and points to a new landing page.

"We want students to have a better overall user experience while shopping for university software," said Jan Lovett, an IT product manager on the Product Management team in University Support Services. "The interface is a lot cleaner, and we hope students find it really easy to navigate."

Features

  • A user-friendly interface that displays better on mobile devices
  • Easy-to-navigate tabs:
    • Order History
    • Available Downloads
    • Download Again
    • Returns
  • Product pages with information on licensing terms and any upgrade protections
  • Purchase receipts that may be emailed

More features will be added in the future.

Numerous computer labs have strategically reopened for fall semester

Computer labs reopen

Computer labs have opened in strategic locations around campus to provide internet service to students with limited access. Some labs will operate at reduced capacity, and students will be required to practice physical distancing in all labs.

Please visit this UIT Knowledge Base article, which includes a PDF document in Box (authentication required) with a partial list of university labs and the latest available information.

Please contact the individual computer labs to confirm open/closed status and hours of operation prior to arriving.
