Kudos & Congratulations

UIT staff recognized for their excellent work

Congratulations to Tony Le (CTO organization) and Ammon Thomson (University Support Services) for winning the last prize drawing!

Two UIT staff along with others working with/for them have been incredibly helpful in resolving a challenge related to the West Village Phase II demolition project, and they have done it quickly and patiently.

Under a constrained schedule (which was no fault of UIT's), David Craig and Tim Goodale, along with Chad Thurman and others have responded to concerns/questions that have helped us to move the project forward. I know there has been a lot of on-site work in some incredible heat the past couple of weeks to make this happen, and I just want them to know how much the Auxiliary Services team appreciates their support and continued work on this project.

~ Jennifer Reed, Auxiliary Services

Heather Winters walked me through helping Mary Ann Lee get her desk phone working this week, and I am so grateful. She is amazing. Thank you so much!

~ Beth Sallay, CTO organization

I want to offer my sincere thanks and appreciation to Gustavo Baeza with the ServiceNow team. Whenever I have a question about ServiceNow and I'm stuck on any aspect of the platform, he's always willing to jump in and help. And more importantly, he has a well researched and correct answer for me. Not only does Gustavo have the skills to get to the bottom of any problem quickly, he does it in a kind and good humored way. Thanks so much, Gustavo! We are all better because you're part of the UIT team!

~ Earl Lewis, Project Management Office

A huge thank you to Larrisa Beth Turner for the amazing help she provides to the ISO-GRC team. Recently, she created the Phish Tank! It is absolutely amazing. She has also worked out a Cybersecurity Awareness Month plan, which is fantastic. Every time we get to collaborate with Larrisa, she produces fantastic work. Many thanks from the ISO-GRC team for all you do.

~ Trevor Long, Information Security Office

It is such as pleasure to work with Andrew Bird.  He always goes beyond the call of duty and is always willing to help no matter what the situation may be.

I received a call late one afternoon regarding the COVID-19 team at Redwood Health Center.  They moved to Westridge Health Center that afternoon while their space is under construction for the next four weeks at Redwood.  When the desktop team got there to install the equipment, they found out there was not any available ports on the switch to make the printers live.  I gave Andrew a call and he was willing to drop everything he was working on and head out to the site.  He was able to get the team back up and working a little before 5:00 p.m. The leadership at Community Clinics is so grateful.  I just wanted you to know what an asset Andrew is for the Network Services team.

~ Lisa Osborne, CTO organization

Recently, I was working on really hard on a Box ticket in the late afternoon and Cody Exon was willing to jump on the call with me and help answer a lot of the questions the customer had. The call lasted over two hours, and Cody stayed with us until we had everything figured out.

~ Matt Juber, CTO organization

Kudos to Emily Jacoby, who has been an immense help to me and my team in the past two months. She's helped us update the Kevin Taylor Memorial Service Award form, set up authentication and a blog for the ISO Phish Tank, answered my questions about social media aggregators and promised to dig into our potential options, and suggested ways we could create a Pinnacle billing form.  Her efforts help not only our team, but other UIT teams and our users. Thanks, Emily!

~ Larrisa Beth Turner, Strategic Communication

A huge thank you to Jason Moeller and Thomas Radman for all their help getting some data I needed for a story. It was a complex processs, and I appreciate that they strived to ensure it was accurate.
