I worked with Julia Harrison (UIT Voice Systems) during the November 15 bomb threat, and she was super helpful in assisting our area (Radiology) with phone issues, call transfers, and other communication needs. Kudos to Marc Thompson, whose work on the UPay system has provisioned a great online solution for departmental credit card payments. Marc's quick response, proactive change notifications, and energetic and collaborative troubleshooting until solved have made possible our custom solution built on his UPay API — and better yet, helped keep it running through many changes over time — some fairly tall hurdles among them.

The UIT Holiday Luncheon at the Alumni House was a big group effort. Everything came together on a compressed schedule and, in the spirit of continual improvement, concluded with a feedback survey and debrief meetings.

Thank you to my wonderful colleague Larrisa Beth Turner, whose attention to detail and event planning skills are amazing and invaluable, as is the support Cassandra Van Buren provided through the many event phases.

I can't thank our emcees Amir Masood and Aimee Ellett enough. You did it! And you were great.
